Goonies Never Say Die!
but.
We had to rethink our plan.
Rain in August!?! The Crown Hill Outdoor Movie was transformed into a last minute indoor movie. Our amazing volunteers spent months planning the summer movie, then with the help of neighborhood organizations they changed the plan to save the day.
The Seattle Gilbert and Sullivan Society shared their rehearsal space and it was the perfect cozy spot for our movie. So perfect we are plotting how to host a series of movies there!
ARC Dance joined in on the fun – they sold concessions and welcomed guests. We were excited to host them and for proceeds to support their amazing program but the rain and the venue change definitely affected their sales.
Thanks to Small Faces the planned games still happened in the hallway of the building. We were incredibly grateful for the last minute accommodation of all three of these neighborhood organizations!
A special thanks to Truffles & More for their donation of prizes – the truffle shuffle contest was a highlight of the evening!
