Crown Hill Community Garden

Community Gardening

Our community gardeners are busier than bees, growing food in public spaces, sharing starts, building birdhouses, and donating thousands of pounds of fresh, healthy food to Ballard Food Bank! If you have a green thumb, or if you just like to eat fresh produce, our gardens are for you!

Support for our Local Business Community

Businesses are neighbors, too! The Crown Hill Village Association engages local businesses in our events and programs, connecting businesses to the neighbors who need them. We are currently building the Crown Hill Directory and partnering with our neighborhoods to build the North Seattle Marketplace

Giving Voice to Neighbors

The Committee for Smart Growth works to engage our neighbors with City planning. When the City is making plans that will impact us, we keep you informed, and invite you to participate. We do not speak for you; instead, we help you get plugged into the City’s process.

Art is for Everyone

The Public Art committee is here to invigorate our public spaces and celebrate our Crown Hill identity with original art. We have funding for projects to beautify our village, and we pay local artists for their work.

CHV has big dreams for our village- dreams we can only achieve with your help. Some of our dreams include:

  • The Edible Urban Forest: Imagine walking down the block, picking berries and fruits to snack on as you go. All of it there for you to take. Our gardeners are working to make this happen.
  • Pet supports: Did you know that the 98117 area code has the highest population density of dogs in all of Seattle? CHV dreams of one day having a pet committee, working to provide more public trash cans, more public spaces that welcome pets, and more access to off-leash dog play.
  • Art Events: Imagine community painting projects. Public artist shows. Art walks. Our Committee for Public Art is just getting started!
  • Community Center: The committee for Smart Growth continues to press the City of Seattle for a community center.

CHV likes to dream big, and we work to make those dreams for our Village into reality. You can help! Your membership fees support all of the work of this all-volunteer organization.

We’d love to help you share them.
