Host a play street on your block!
Neighbors can get together and turn their block into a play street – up to three days a week! The permit is free, the process is accessible, and the possibilities are endless!

Permitting Process
All the city info you need is here. The city has streamlined permitting, but it is still a process.
1- Talk with your neighbors. The city has templates for an email and a printable info sheet to start the conversation.
2- Apply for the permit.
- create an account on the Seattle Service Portal
- Fill out the application (You’ll need: contact name, dates and times, closure template, and a brief description of planned activities.)
