Time to Get Stuff in the Ground! The soil is warming up, and so are the plans at the Crown Hill Community Garden! The garden donates the food to the Ballard Food Bank and so far the donations weigh in at 201 pounds. This would be an impressive amount of tomatoes, but this time of year the donation bin is full of chard and lettuce - that's A LOT of light weight, nutrition packed beauty. With spring weather incoming, the donations will keep increasing. Stop by on Saturday! Join the gardeners at the Crown Hill Community Center [...]

2021-04-09T10:05:48-07:00

Cold Nights, Sunny Afternoons

2021-09-30T19:52:33-07:00

Gardener Christal is stockpiling burlap, and grateful that Theo Chocolate is helping her out by setting aside their sacks. Stop by on Saturday! Join the gardeners at the Crown Hill Community Center to plant starts. [...]

Are you the go-to neighborhood person? OLD

2024-03-26T09:45:11-07:00

Connecting Community, Block by Block As we exit the winter months, and the uncertainty of a prolonged shut-down, one thing is clear: We’ve never needed a connected Crown Hill more than now. And, you can help! Crown Hill Village is building a network of community allies: Crown Hill Connectors are the contact and advocate for their street/building/micro-community. They will share information, highlight issues or needs, and facilitate activities for night out and play streets (when it's safe). Commitment is minimal.....the reality is that it doesn't take much effort to build the connections that help build community. Click here [...]
