Neighbor brings nature to the village
Neighbor Brings Nature to the Village What are you called to do when it feels like the world is coming apart? Then the WA Native Plant Society’s newsletter introduced her to Douglas Tallamy’s book Nature’s Best Hope. We belong to nature and it belongs to all of us, right here in our homes and yards. Elizabeth started planting native species in her own yard [...]

Goonies Never Say Die

ARC Dance joined in on the fun - they sold concessions and welcomed [...]

We need the standard help like board members and help setting up events. We also have unique opportunities like help us maintain the new community message board. We are looking for two people who want to help neighbors hang their flyers and who will create a plan and respond to vandalism. Don’t have much time? Volunteer for an hour at an event. Have big ideas to make happen? We have lots [...]
Summer Street Fest 24 wrapup
Summer?? Street Fest The annual Street Festival felt more like a winter event, but Crown Hill was not to be deterred. The surf band made us want to catch a wave as we all dodged the lighting storm! Set up was treacherous but neighbors managed to get the event ready despite the pouring rain. We were excited to welcome neighborhood businesses who helped to make the event so special. Sasha Moon Salon offered hair tinsel so participants were sparkling despite the gloom. The folks from Korazon Tattoo sold plants and applied [...]
