Pop Out to Build a Birdhouse
Neighborhood kids and dogs, grab your grown-up and join Gardener Fred for the 4th annual Crown Hill Birdhouse Building day! Build a birdhouse with your neighbors at the Holman Grove. Fred will have tools and wood, but bring a hammer or saw if you have one handy. The birdhouses are simple, and kids are encouraged to use the tools. Saturday, March 9th 11-3 PM located in the triangle on Holman Road (near Petco and Gourmet Latte).

New Kiwi Arbor at Holman Grove Have you seen the new kiwi arbor at Holman Grove? The arbor is the vision of the Crown Hill Community Garden, built by neighbors, and funded through a grant from a Neighborhood Economic Recovery Fund. The Crown Hill Village is proud to connect all these stakeholders to help build a neighborhood heart for Crown Hill. The volunteers did an amazing job. Celebrate the start of summer with your neighbors! Food Truck, Home Bites - yum! Live music, from Town Hall Brawl. Hyper local Makers Market. Free popsicles, donated by Crown Hill Grocery Outlet. Saturday Garden Work Party – At The Grove!
After years of planning and waiting and cutting red tape - we are finally ready to install the planters at the corner of 90th and Mary Ave NW. Join the Crown Hill Community gardeners and learn more about the Holman Grove. Drop by and help us fill the planters! All the food grown in the community garden is for passers by, with the bulk of it donated to the Ballard Food Bank. This year's goal is 3000 pounds!
