Let’s Get Spooky in Crown Hill!
Let's Get Spooky in Crown Hill! The Crown Hill Village Events squad is busy planning for our first big event of the fall. The 4th Annual Crown Hill-O-Ween Pet Costume Party is set for Saturday, October 26th, at Crown Hill Park. Last year, pets large and small strutted their costumes around Crown Hill Park while neighbors looked on and cheered. The planning team needs volunteers to help plan and prepare for this event. We also need help on the day of the event [...]
Are you the go-to neighborhood person?
Connecting Community, Block by Block Crown Hill Village is building a network of community allies: Crown Hill Connectors are the contact and advocate for their street/building/micro-community. They will share information, highlight issues or needs, and facilitate activities for night out and play streets. Commitment is minimal.....the reality is that it doesn't take much effort to build the connections that help build community. Click here to sign-up, learn more, or to start connecting!
Holiday Market ’23 Wrap Up
A Wrap on Crown Hill Holiday Market! What a great holiday party! A slate of outstanding hyper local makers and artists filled the host businesses, Tacos and Beer served up delicious food, Santa greeted and posed, all to tunes from local artist Toby Slade. You can still purchase unique gifts made by your neighbors. Check out the online market here. We love the market because it allows us to highlight all the talented neighbors hustling to make a super small business. None of these events would be possible without the support [...]
Meet Rowlf
Meet our 2023 Crown Hill-O-Ween Grand Marshal! Rowlf is a 12-year-old Schnoodle who is as comfortable napping on the fluffiest pile of clothes as he is hiking the Oyster Dome trail. Sometimes a feisty one, you’ve probably heard him barking at a dog or human in the alley or giving the Brown Bear Car Wash statues the “what for.” A sweet and shy pup, Rowlf is still a little vexed that his brother from another mother Riley became his roommate (without Rowlf’s consent!) 5 short years ago, but he coexists nonetheless. Rowlf recently broke a bone in [...]
Get Spooky in the Village!
Let's Get Spooky! The sun is warm and days are still long, but the Crown Hill Village Events squad is already planning for our first big event of the fall. The 3rd Annual Crown Hill-O-Ween Pet Parade is set for Saturday, October 28th, at Crown Hill Park. Last year, pets large and small strutted their costumes around Crown Hill Park while neighbors looked on and cheered. We met the Great and Terrible Pumpkin, we dined on Scooby Dogs, jumped in the leaf pile, made puppets out of Peeps, and played spooky games with some of our local [...]
Movie Dreams Do Come True
Movies are What Brings us Together Outdoor Movie Night at Crown Hill Park was a roaring success! Over 200 neighbors joined us for trivia, photo booth fun, popcorn, and The Princess Bride. Thanks to support from neighborhood businesses and artists The Crown Hill Village made the dream of a Crown Hill Park movie night into a reality. Not so long ago, Crown Hill Park was nothing but a field. Seattle Parks worked with the community to develop this empty field into an appealing space for our neighborhood to enjoy. Before the park was built, neighbors attended sessions [...]
